Mts. Sugarloaf and Spaulding via ski slopes, AT - 7/4/13.
Bottom third of slopes wet/muddy and side trails and A/T quite wet in spots but overall the trail is in good shape. We considered hiking in from the CVR but felt the recent rains made the water crossing difficult though we heard from hikers we met that water was high but crossing was doable.
No special equipment needed though bug spray, extra water and an affinity for mud were helpful today.
Met a few AT thru-hikers S/B on this hot and humid day.
