Date of Hike: 6/19/10

Trail Conditions: No blowdowns, stream crossings easy, plenty of mud and standing water above the cascades.

The trail around Norcross Pond (if you go all the way to the far end of Norcross) has areas of being completely underwater.
A beaver has built up the rocky natural dam at the end of the pond, which has raised the pond levels a foot or two, you can bushwack some, but the bushes are entangling in places.

Special Equipment Required: Good boots, plenty of mud and standing water above the cascades! Insect repellent! We could only stop for a minute or two before being attacked! Many of the bog bridges are broken down, looks like they are working on replacing several of them (you'll see some construction materials along the way).

A nice hike with beautiful cascades and mountain ponds, and very quickly you'll get away from the noise of motorcycles (it's bike week in NH!) -- it was very peaceful and quiet.
