Pyramid to Gothics 2 10 2013

[Adirondack Ladies]

Just a perfect day to be out in the mountains. Quite a few groups doing Sawteeth/Gothics..some continuing to Wolfjaws. Snowshoes from the gate and all day long. Trail is well broken out over Pyramid to Gothics. We met some great hikers as always! We chose to continue on a loop down the Beaver Meadow Falls Trail. The trail from Armstrong junction had many deep drifts with difficult areas near each of the ladders. Lots of great sliding!

.There was a lot more snow on the BMF Trail as opposed to ascending Sawteeth - Lori busts through some deep drifts:

We met Steve skiing up Lake Road - He had already hiked Pyramid/Gothics and hiked out..dropped his pack and was skiing back in to meet up with hiking partners - now that's energy!
