Another interesting trip to the Quabbin Reservoir, and a chance to see what the ice storm damage was in there. Some downed trees along Route 202, but little noticeable downed trees where we were. From the recent rains, the brooks were beautiful. Very little snow, too, but trying to walk along the shoreline was an interesting exercise! Not!!! We had to use an old beaver dam to get over some of the flooded brook areas, which is always sporting.
Anyway, it was still fun to see how much the rains of the past month have added to the reservoir. I even found one of the sand beaches, and some otter tracks. We ended our trip early, ate our lunch in the car and headed home.
