Santas 1-7-12

Hiked the Santas on Saturday. Went up panther brook from Bradley Pond, Panther, Couchie, Santa, and down the new/old trail. Wore microspikes until Bradley Pond, where we switched to snow shoes. Could have still used the spikes but we were chewing up the trail in the wet snow. We left a nice flat hard packed trail behind us. Snow depth 12-14" around panther brook area, thigh deep breaking trail to Panther. About 12-14" on the new/old trail down from Santa. Once back to the main trail we were back to microspikes, with 4-6" of wet crusted snow.
