Hi everyone,
Saturday I hiked Cannon Mt and it turned out to be a great choice. The weather was mild and there was no wind, one of the few times I can remember not having to fight the blistering wind. I got to Lafayette campground around 8:30 and there was one last spot in the parking lot, thank you very much.
Started my hike on Lonesome lake trail and then moved onto Hi Cannon trail to the top.
The trails were well packed, so no real need for snow shoes. I was the first person on Hi Cannon trail so the hike up was peaceful and uniterupted. I was back at the car by 12:30.
Over all it was a great day.
