Tim Kennedy of the NH AMC organized and led a group of 10.
We all wore microspikes for the first section of 19 Mile Brook. Then we changed into snowshoes for the rest of the way up the Carter Dome, Carter-Mariah, North Carter and Imp Trails. Out by way of the Camp Dodge short cut.
While the trail is now well broken out, I would recommend snowshoes, particularly ones with aggressive crampons. There are steep spots along the ridge where they are necessary.
Stream crossings were easy.
