Great day on Layfayette. Eight of us hiked the Bridle Path up to the hut and then on to the summit. We micro spiked the entire way. Trail was hard packed snow except for some minor drifting above tree line. Sun was in and out of the clouds with the afternoon enjoying more sun. Summit conditions were interesting with a temperature of -5 degrees and an estimated 30 mph wind. Full wind gear including goggles and face mask were called for. We made good time with the round trip taking 6 hours.
