Conditions - hard snow at start, softened late morning. Some (old) blowdowns high on Blueberry Ledge trail that require some care. Evidence of much postholing, stay on monorail or else. Continuous, deeper snow ended about 15 minutes above the stream crossing. Stream crossing on Dicey Mill still relatively low - rock hopping. Clouds moved in after noon, slowing the snow from softening.

Equipment - light traction. I was the only hiker (of 5 on the loop) that used snowshoes. I put them on just north of the steep, open ledge where great care is needed to avoid a fall. I postholed only once after changing over. Dave continued in microspikes.
