Hiked three trails on Table Rocks near the Balsams Oct. 16.
Mountaineers trail up Table Rocks (.3 miles, 600 gain) had light snow and some ice. Microspikes very helpful 1/2 way up. Went down more gentle Table Rock trail and glad to have microspikes for safety. Mountaineers route was not signed except with a small number 58.

Huntington Cascade Trail - no sign on highway. Did not cross brook where I should have and went up wrong side of stream. Eventually crossed over, almost immediately crossed back again, and found the Three Brother's trail . It was signed "59". Trail was fairly well marked with tiny bits of forester's tape, but a few more would have been helpful where trail crosses a woods road. Did not use microspikes.

Sanguinary Ridge Trail - Light crust of snow, could have been a lot worse if icy. No microspikes used. Flume Brook picnic area sign also removed. Don't be fooled by parking on Flume Brook Rd.
