Trail Conditions: Trail was broken out to the Table Rock spur, but after that it was 6 inches of powder over a consolidated base. Above tree line it was mostly rock with lots of water ice.

Special Equipment: We wore snowshoes all the way to the col between W&E, and we bare booted it from there. All of us had crampons, and though there was lots of ice on East Baldpate, there was more ROCK than ice making it not practical to wear crampons without risking an injury.

General comments: Beautiful COLD day with nary a cloud in the sky. We could see Sugarloaf, Abraham, the Crockers, the Pilot Range, and the Northern Presidentials. Sweet!!!! :)
