Trail Conditions: Trail was mostly very dry with only a couple of wet spots that were easy to walk through.
Special Equipment Required: None required.
Comments: I went up Watatic via an old, unmaintained trail from Route 119. It was very steep and rocky. After reaching the summit, I headed north on the Wapack to the NH line and then looped back on the old Midstate Trail. Saw several patches of trailing arbutus in bloom as well as a few piles of old snow. There are some very interesting rock piles (old foundations?) in the section north of Nutting Hill.
