Route: Started at the Wild River Campground. Went across the bridge and up the Moriah Brook trail. Climbed to IMP shelter and spent the night. Woke up Sunday and hiked from IMP across the Carters, up Mt Hight, dropped pack and hit Carter Dome. Then descended Black Angel tr to the now rock hop across the Wild river. Spider bridge does not exist.

Trail Conditons: Muddy in places but passable. Rivers were a little high on the Moriah brook trail but passable. Still a little snow in some places, mostly near the summit of Carter Dome. Lots of moose droppings but did not see any moose. No major blowdowns.

Special Equipment: Brim hat to keep the sun off your neck. LOTS OF BUG SPRAY OR NETTING!! Gaiters might have helped a little with the mud.

We decided not to bring a tent or netting and stay in the IMP shelter. The black flies were horrible. It would have been better to bring a small shelter of some sort to relax in and get away from the biting bastards. Spent the night on top of my sleeping bag because the temps were in the mid 60s. You can't even get away from the heat at 3,000 ft.

Highly reccomend a swim in the Wild River after the hike!!! Awesome!
