Trail Conditions: Dry
Special Equipment Required: Warm fleece
Comments: Optional - This was Mohawk Trail State Forrest off Rt2 heading towards Berkshire county. With out a doubt one of my favorite dayhikes.
A tough climb from the roadway to the ridge, then the rest of the time is very relaxing. Down the east side of Todd Mtn, through a perfect stand of white pines, then a big field mear the Deerfield river. Very peaceful. Left CT in the am, 39 degrees, arrived at the forrest 29 degrees. The foliage was past peak. Still plenty of peepers out enjoying the day (guess I may be one too.)
