Trail Conditions: mostly untracked.... amazing how fast the drifts cover your tracks, so hard to tell how long it had been... Likely just a day or so. no blowdowns. smooth sailing all the way
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes essential. Poles are nice too. Wind Protection/Goggles
Brutally Windy at hut and beyond... (see video on page). In tree line was fine. Glove-less for a while on ascent. First time "breaking" trail though only 6" in most places... still a whole new muscle group!! Gorgeous day to be in the woods! I went as far as the first cairn past the hut just to experience the wind, then headed down.
