Greetings all,

Last Friday, July 3, we found a pair of keys on the Notch Trail heading towards Mahoosuc Notch. They were right on the surface of the trail, and thus I assume were dropped either on the 3rd or the day before.

just curious..

why did you decide to take them instead of leaving them at the trailhead?

sure, there's alot of hikers of VFTT, but what if this person isn't online here and goes back to the trail to find them?

i always found it odd that hikers would take items home and post them here.
 
Who is to say that the trailhead they used is the same trailhead the owners of the keys used? The ranger station on 16 north of Pinkham would be a better suggestion, IMHO.
