Approaching from the south (Vermont Routes 11/30), the Long Trail is dry with significant mud patches. Streams and springs are running at normal summer levels.
The Bromley Ski Patrol hut is unlocked and open for respectful overnight use. No water is available at the summit; if heading north, stock up at Bromley Shelter.
Mosquitoes are still plentiful, although not in the quantities common a few weeks ago. There are no significant blowdowns on this stretch.
