Cherry Mtn (Martha, Owl's Head), Cherry Mtn Trail, Martha's Mile 3/27/10

Snow from the parking lot but we barebooted on solid snow up to the snowmobile trail jct. No postholing. No traction needed. 3" of snow at jct. Put on snowshoes and used for the rest of trip and descent. One stepover on Martha's mile. Martha's Mile from Cherry Mtn is tight at start but then opens up. 3 others followed us (4) so trail should be easily followed.

Bareboots or microspikes for ascent. Snowshoes for top (could get by with spikes). Traction of some sort helpful for descent.
