Ascended Baldface Cirlce Trail to Baldface Knob Trail and Eastman Mountain Trail. Backtracked on Eastman Mountain Trail to take the Slippery Brook Trail back to RT 113.
Date of Hike: 2 July 2010
Trail Conditions: Trails dry except for a a few muddy spots on Slippery Brook Trail. Only blowdowns of note was on the Eastman Mtn Trail near the junction with Slippery Brook and one or two low on the Slippery Brook Trail. They were easily negotiated. Eastman Mountain Trail is somewhat overgrown with fern, some picky bushes (raspberry? not to scratchy) and hobblebush but is easily followed.
Special Equipment Required: Whatever you like for summer hiking gear. If you're heading to Eastman and you are opposed to having your legs brushed by vegetation wear trousers or tall gaiters.
Comments: Lovely loop! I don't think many people bother with Eastman Mountain but they should. The summit has great views in most directions but especially good to the SSW through NNE.
