Owls Head, South Twin, Guyot, Zealand, Hale

Date of Hike: 7/24 - 7/25

Trail Conditions: All trails were in good shape. Some wet areas in the lower spots. The herd path up Owls Head had lots of blowdowns but were easy to go over or under. Lincoln Brook Trail was fine until we lost the trail around the area where it starts to turn east going towards 13 falls tentsite. A couple of blowdowns and open woods makes it hard to follow. After 15-20 minutes of walking around looking for boot tracks in the mud we found it and had no more difficulties.

Special Equipment Required: Lots of water. HOT and HUMID!

Comments: Awesome trip. Knocked off 3 more 4000 footers, 13 more to go! Met up with some AT hikers my brother had hiked with on his AT attempt. Hiked with them all day Sunday and had a great time (Gumby, Red Fred, and one more that I cannot remember his name). Overall it was an awesome weekend. 26 miles and 5 summits. :)
