Trail Conditions: Rattle River in good shape though many blowdowns along the way. Kenduskeag has plenty of plank bridges and also lots of mud, deep and hard to skirt at times. Carter Moriah and Stony Brook trails were in great condition.
Special Equipment: None required today
Comments: Rattle River was a new trail for most of our group and was enjoyed by all. Kenduskeag was a challenge in getting round the mud holes and then has a steep rise to the top albeit with great steps. Cool and windy on the top of Moriah made for a quick lunch. Met many thru hikers today including Arrow, Dayman, Calculator, Stretch and Leap, Old School (the only female!) and Mike B. Great folk who were very pleasant and chatty with 305 miles to go! Great day for views though the clouds stayed on Mt. Washington all day and a fun day out with a group of 10 from the OTHH
