Great couple of days hiking!
Solo both days, only 4 other people sited on bonds in the morning. (was an in&out from LW, just me from 10a-7p, I loved it!) Abraham only saw 2 other people, they were camping & doing trail work on fire w.'s trail. They built some great waterbars up high on the trail! They stated I was the 1st person they encountered in the 5 days they were out there.. No bridges has really isolated this trail, kinda cool.. I approached from Salem via Howard rd.. I used my mt.b., my maps didn't even come close to having all the atv trails, so some guess work and wrong turns followed. Almost 2 hrs later and a good deal of riding loose atv trails, I was @ the trailhead! The hike was quick 8 miles in 3.5 hrs (jogged the relatively flat, 2.8 miles in & out) bike ride out was better no wrong turns (1:20) Both days were cloudy, sunny, foggy@times, good times!
