Conditions: Great day and though the trees had dropped their leaves onto the trail, most of the trails were easy to follow and dry.
Comments: If unfamiliar with the area, one of the new maps of the area is important. Some of the trails are the old roads in Dog Town. Others are paths that wend and weave their way through the woods. Sometimes trails combine for a while and then separate. A welcome area for foot and bicycle travel and people interested in the boulders Roger Babson had carved with sayings during the Great Depression as well as the historic pre-revolutionary village that thrived there for a short while. The only con is the noise from the rifle range nearby.
