Date of Hike: 3/11/12
This hike was over most of the middle and north sections of the Monoosnoc Trail, with some wandering down off the ridge to the quarry.
Trail Conditions: Surprisingly dry. Usually in the spring there is a lot of standing and running water on the trails, but there was very little of this on the hike. The lack of snow is really showing. There was some water in one or two low points, but it was easily bypassed.
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments: It always amazes me that you are hiking around neighborhoods near a city. There is a real sense of islolation on this hike. One oddity to note - I was passed by 2 guys in their early 20s near kmart rocks who were carrying a rifle. I have no idea what they were doing, but it did make me think...
