Conditions: 3-4" of fresh snow, dry in the morning, but wet enough to clump in our Microspikes as the day progressed. A few old blowdowns.
Special Equipment: microspikes.
Comments: a spectacular day to be out, and some fresh snow gave us an unexpected encore presentation of winterish conditions. We took the north branch of the Wright Trail on ascent and the south branch on descent. The unpaved road to the trailhead was firm this morning due to cool temps, but will get sloppy again when temperatures increase. It was great to get back to Mount Carlo, which I have not visited in a long time.
