Fire road 27 is closed and gated. You can drive to the gate and park by large mound of heavy gravel. There is condiderable erosion about 1/4 mile south of the actual traihead. It is not passable by car.

The second bridge on the trail proper, over the Rocky Branch, was washed out on the east side and a plank is laid across the gap.

There is minor erosion on the road portion of the trail.

The section just north of the second brook crossing is washed out. Travel is possible on the western verge of the old trail. There are many logjams in the water.

Rocky Branch #1 is in good shape. I heard of great destruction of trail to the north.

The Forest Service has closed the trail, which is doing great business nontheless.
