Comments: Optional - Did the stretch from Appalachian Gap to Lincoln Gap. Long ago had done the out and back from Lincoln Gap so from Ellen north was new territory. Weather was just about perfect, high clouds developed to cool things down. There is water at shlter sites near the beginning of the hike and the end of the hike but nothing in between.
