Seward, Donaldson, Emmons - 11/11/12

Hiked into Blueberry leanto where a fire awaited me. Stayed with the two other hikers Sat. night who had just climbed S.D.E. The next day I went up using microspikes from 3,500 ft and up. Seward an ice sheet but did not need crampons, though had them. 2-4 inches of slush snow where there was no ice. Good views blue scky with abit of haze from the heat. Everything was melting.

The bridge before Blueberry leanto is down to one log. Not an issue now but with spring run office this crossing could be a problem.

Heard a deer bugle as I climed Seward.
