We were so proud of ourselves having tackled all of the trail work on May 21, 2013. A few days later a few feet of wet snow blanketed the hills for hours on some slopes. Lucky for us... or not, Trail # 105 saw a large numbers of the trees lining it going for a closer look at the terrain they used to be standing on. Doing so they broke their back and so did we today tossing them all back where they came from. Naturally the 85F temperature and 140% humidity did not help, neither did the zillions of blackflies pumping our blood!
There are still a few trees one needs to go under or over as we thought to keep some of the work for our fall routine visit.

Since Christine won't take a bow for being responsible for keeping this trail open, I'll blow the bugle for her.
DEC wanted to close this trail a number of years ago, what IMO is the nicest and least travelled route to Hurricane Mt. Christine said she'd take it on and it's still there for everyone to enjoy.
So like it or not, Bravo.
