Mount Madison
Air Line Trail / Air Line Cutoff / Madison Hut / Osgood Trail / Mount Madison / Osgood Trail / Valley Way
Date of Hike: 01/04/2014 (Saturday)
Trail Conditions: Air Line was broken in with boot prints, Valley Way broken in with boots and snowshoes, no traction was needed, but some folks were using microspikes/crampons on Madison. Lots of rock hopping above tree line on both Air Line and Madison.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes below treeline were a viable option. Goggles needed for all the snow blowing around above tree line. All gear/clothing for low temperatures and very high winds necessary.
