Date of Hike: March 18, 2014
Trail Conditions: All trails were well broken out and decently packed down (although some of the sections between the Fire Road and Lion Head were slightly loose with wind blown snow). The fixed rope is still absent. Not much else to report. ETA: The snow fields sounded pretty hollow, but seemed stable -- at least there was no whumping.
Special Equipment Used: We brought trekking poles, ice axes, crampons, and rope.
Comments: Hiked this one as lead for my work. What a brilliant, amazing day weather-wise. And to top it off one client, on bended knee in front of the summit sign, asked his girlfriend to marry him. She said yes! I pulled champagne out of my pack (due to foreknowledge of this) and we celebrated in the sunny warmth of the day. What a change from Sunday, oh my.
