Backwoods cabin for rent in winter

Does anybody know of any backwoods cabins for rent in the winter. Primitive is fine, getting to old for winter camping but would still like to enjoy a few days in the woods, skiing and shoeing around with my buddies. Something along the lines of the now closed 4 Peaks cabins would be ideal. Eastern high peaks or Elizabethtown area would be great but we would definitely consider other areas .

Of course I recommend Random Scoots cabins, and Tmax and Topos Hostel. You can Google these, both run by local forum participants.

Also, I have had really good luck with the two services Airbnb and VRBO.

AMC has their high cabin at Mt Cardigan or at least they use to. Haven't been there in a few years. Click image for larger version.

ADK has Peggy O and Grace camps (6 and 12 people). It's a 3 mile flatish walk to the camps. Then you are literally surrounded by the high peaks.
