Livingston Pond - Flowed Lands

What is the best way, if there is any, to access Livingston Pond from the Flowed Lands?

There's a trail from Hanging Spear Falls to Flowed Lands but it bypasses Livingston Pond.
Probably the best time to visit the pond is when everything is frozen under a lot of snow. With good snow conditions Livingston Pond is a direct route to Cliff Mt.

It's an easy but steep descent from the height of land of the trail that leads to the Livingston Point lean-to from Flowed land outlet (Opalescent/East River). Since Hurricane Flloyds access to the pond is difficult from most other locations along that trail. In high water the shoreline is very wet. The pond is pretty and offers an interesting framed view of the McIntyres and is lined by a couple of small cliffs on its Cliff Mt. side. I tried hiking directly from Flowed Land via the bay across a small island but got turned around by water and blowdwon there as well.
