Does anyone know if all of the trails are open and hikeable? I was thinking about heading up on sunday to check out the damage.

Man! I hope None of this poor womens family are part of this site and can see the petty whinning about a simple memorial the placed in her honor. I'm not saying it's right to place an unauthorized plaque, but come on it's a memorial for a beloved family member not trash or litter.

I usually go with either the Woodstock Inn or the MM brewery depending on where I am, but this past winter I missed the exit for Woodstock and kept going to exit 28 and tried out the Mad River Tavern which was a pretty decent alternatve.

I find the Liberty trail one of the easiest trails on Chocorua. there are a couple of spots that would be tough if it was wet but in good conditions it would be my trail of choice for someone new to hiking.

Got one, never used it in the mountains. But I carry it anyway for my wife's piece of mind.

Whether it be lists, exercise, spiritualism or any other reason; If you're not having fun and doing it for yourself it's for the wrong reasons - IMO.

A pair of EMS gaiters that don't even fit around my ankles, my bad really but still a bad purchase none the less.

I Hiked and sledded pole cat on sat. snowshoes would have been ok for traction down pole cat if not for the sleds.We Only had to hike on grass for the last 1/8 mile or so although that could change very soon. Oh and btw you are right very wet and sloppy snow so try to stay dry.

No views on this day but it was my third time up there, I know what you mean it does give you some great views on a clear day.
