I got that email too and was so sad to hear they might not be opening. After checking the page today, they will be opening Dec. 26 with limited trails at a reduced rate. So I guess there's hope for skiing there this winter after all.

Hopeful Snow Melting? Just wondering if any one knows about snow coverage (or hopeful lack of snow coverage) in the Belknaps? I'd love to do a day hike this weekend but I have hiking buddies that would balk at the idea of snow.

I grew up in Chemsfed and most of my friends pronounced Billerica as Bell-Rika. I still haven't figured out how it's supposed to be pronounced. Maybe I'll ask some locals as I'm heading there today.

I've been on a hiking hiatis due to physical therapy for my knees. However, this weekend I want to get outdoors and explore. Does anyone have suggestions for some flatish trails up in the Whites? -Jen
