Answers, hopefully Doc, I think you may have left the marked trail too early. I think the large rock( 15-20 ft high ) is about 1/4 mile past this slashed area with false herd paths. The large rock is on the (left) of the marked trail. if you go to the right of the rock and behind about 100 ft...

Advise Hunter, Give Hadley a try. It's trailhead is on Hadley Hill road. There is a maintained fire tower, that you can climb and get some desent views. 2 miles up, and 2 miles down. This is just North of Corinth. Mike G.

Rattlers There are 4 dens on Tongue mnt and 1 den on the east shore. The location of that 1 den on the eastern shore is a secret. You have about a zero chance of seeing a rattler on Buck. Have fun and don't worry. Mike G. PS- If you see one on Tongue, you are a lucky hiker.
