    Hurricane Mt - 10/7/11

    Brian and I hiked Hurricane from the east today, up the old fire tower observer's road/trail. Trail is in excellent condition, what a beautiful approach to this lovely mountain. Thanks Christine for all the maintenance you do on this beautiful trail, or is it Hurricane Mt Trial? :)

    Lower Wolf Jaw - Friday 1/29

    From the AMR up the Wedge Brook, about 12/18" nice new powder snow. Snowshoes all day and some fun butt sliding and snowshoe skiing on the way down. We put a nice track down, but it was still snowing when we left. Great day playing in the new snow!!!! :) Happy Trails!!!

    Seymour 1/23/09

    Snowshoes all day, steep and then steeper, trail totally blown over once we hit the ridge, lots of kicking in steps all the way up, great butt sliding back down. As of Friday we were able to drive into the summer trailhead with a 4W drive. Happy Trails!!

    Kaaterskill High Peak 1/4/09

    micro-spikes all day, came down Hurricane Ledges, mix of ground, mud, snow and ice, trail is all snow, but not enough for snowshoes. Great day, warm, clear, blue skies, awesome views.

    Hurricane 12/20

    Good trail now broken out from 9N. Snow is knee deep up high, great snowshoe day and sunny skies with just a light breeze on the summit. :)
