    Wallface Mountain

We did MacNaughton a month ago and the trail was worse than the bush wack. It was a swamp trail that was hard to avoid. We are looking to do Wallface soon. Thanks for the onfo. Mike

Finishing the NH 100 Highest Peaks on Mt. Dartmouth 9-2-12

What a great accomplishment. After seeing that great patch I will check my list. All these lists are included in the mother of all lists, the 770. Is that correct? Again nice job. Mike D.

Four Days in the Whites, 7/24-7/27

Hi Joe, We did those hikes in about 6 trips up to the White's, so you saved a lot of gas. We usually stay at Parker's. Did you car camp? Mike

    Scar Ridge 7/1/12

When we were there last September, the canister opened by unscrewing the bottom. It was also the most difficult bushwack we have done. We also did not find the off trail ski route until we were coming back.

    Boundary Peak - 6/29/12

Hi Beth, Thanks for the great trip report. We hope to hike this one in September along with some of the other NEHH in the area. We tried Boundary last year and got turned back because of Irene damage. Was the road to the trailhead new? Mike

HighPeaks forum does the ADK 46 (plus McNaughton).

Fun in the Santa's Hi Neil, We were out in the Santanoni's with a great bunch of forum members. We started 1-1/2 hours before them and we first ran into them as we were about half way down Panther. They finished maybe 1-1/2 hours before us too. We had a great day in getting all 3 but could...

White Cap and North Kennebago Divide, 1-17-12

We tried to do these two in September and almost got run over by a logging truck. Is that the way you would go to hike them in summer? It sounds like you had a great time. We could not get to Boundary peak from Canada when we were there so I would be interested to see if you can get there...

    E. Schoolhouse Mt, and oh yeah, Balsam Lake and Graham Mts

Hi Alan, Is E. Schoolhouse the mountain you walk around to get to Graham? Maybe it's not far enough away from BLM to be considered. Mike

Getting soaked in the Sewards 12/21/11 (Adirondacks)

Very nice. Thanks for the great info. Did you carry snowshoes at all? I hope the conditions don't change for a week or so. Mike

NHHH finish on Lowell & Anderson

Congratulations What a great way to finish a list. Norcross Pond must have looked real nice after such a tough wack. We were there just after they did all the work rerouting the trail and adding a boardwalk. Anderson Mt looked real close and steep. Congratulations again. Mike

Three Weeks on the Kilkenney Ridge Trail

We did the Weeks ridge last September and there were no signs. We also ran into a moose in there so they must have a nice spot up there. We are stuck on 95/100 of the NEHH. We also need 5 in Maine. We were unable to do Boundary Peak from Canada so we scraped the rest of our trip. We can't...

Three Days In Maine - My NE67 Finish, 10/7-9/2011

Hi Earl, Congrats on finishing a list. Ellen and I finished the 115 on the Horn going up the way you did. It was way down to the col between those 2. Glad you had nice views on the Bigelows. We did them the first time in bad weather and we went back again after finishing the 115 on a...

    4 of the Maine 6-pack. Sept.24-25 2011

Hi Timmus, We were out there last week and did Elephant. We then tried to go across the border and do Boundary. When we got to the gate house the nice man told us it was impossible to get there as his road had washed out. We then did Snow (COP) and the next day we went down to the Morton...

    East Kennebago

On Wednesday 9/21/11 we took the posted directions to the trails head from Route 16. The road to the trail head has had a lot of erosion, but the Tacoma made it to the trail head at 4.2 miles. The tails were in great shape. the property line is straight and there is a nice path. The trail...

    Snow (Chain of Ponds)

On Tuesday 9/20/11 we drove down the Penobscot Indian land road to the large boulders and parked. We took the snowmobile trail to the pond where the trails were very muddy. We found the sign for the turn up and followed surveyors tape to the summit. There was some blow down but the tape...

    Elephant 9/19/11

On Monday Sept. 16, 2011, we took South Arm Road to the logging road and made it to the unofficial start of the hike. All cairns described in Bob & Geri's 6/18/05 trip report were intact and very helpful. We did not like hiking in the swampy area and found many herd paths in this area, just...
