Great 2'nd day winter to be out. Bare ground at trail head, good firm winter snow above 3,000. Bare booted to 0.25 mi from ridge. Snow shoes provided good traction on ridge trail to north and south, and back down Kinsman. The ridge trail was crispy from the rain and wind storm of 12/21...
