arrived at lodge later than anticipated due to slop on northway.
started hike at 9:15 am under a light snow and calm winds and mild temps. (30's). About 2"-3" of fresh snow at start with about 8" above 4000 ft. Wind and snow picked up above treeline and there were no appreciable views. Arrived at summit at 11:40 and were greeted by a lone Vole looking for handouts. Snow subsided monentarily to allow a view of Wright peak. Originally planned on traverse to Iroquois but decided to abort due to visibility and the fact that I left my guide book and map at home. Passed several other hikers on decent, a couple of which had their snowshoes on their backs and were leaving some pretty hefty postholes. Return trip to lodge took about 2 hours.
Overall a very nice day to be in the daks, although the views from the top could have been better.
