I saw this briefly on the news last night, then searched for more information:
"JAFFREY, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game says a 30-year-old Rindge woman was treated for what appeared to be heat exhaustion after she was rescued from Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey.
Officials say Heather LaFortune was out for a day-hike Sunday with two relatives when she suffered what rescuers later said appeared to be heat exhaustion while on her way back down at about 7:25 p.m.
Park mountain patrollers reached the victim and administered first aid. Conservation officers, park personnel, firefighters and volunteers then helped carry her down the trail to an ambulance....."
I wonder, heat exhaustion or dehydration? Glad she was able to be "carried down the trail" and is recovering, of course, but wonder if she was another unprepared person on the mountain.
