Anyone been to the Blackheads?

I read one recent trip report and it stated that the trail had been used by hikers with snowshoes, crampons, and just boots. Has anyone else been there lately? I was thinking of climbing maybe Blackhead tomorrow and don't want to carry snowshoes if I'm not going to post hole and ruin the trail.

Well, I'll be there tomorrow -- planning on taking my MSRs but leaving the fins at home.

I heard the trail was broken in but I don't know what the condition is. Due to the warmer weather it's probably packed down a little more. People post holed the Devil's Path Trail on Hunter last weekend and it made traveling a little difficult.
