I know there are nore than a few other section hikers here as well as a few thruhikers that heard about a trail thief last year named "Saved" and might find this interesting - In today's Washington Post.

Wow! What a story! As a journalist, I love the way it's written _ and how it still leaves that burning question: How much of a con man was he? Did he at least, for even a short time, really try to turn his life around?

Thanks for the update Rick. I followed some of the stories of people who had gear stolen last year, allegedly by Saved, and I'm glad to see there is some resolution now.
