Nice day today for a bushwhack from Palmer Pond on Blue Ridge Road to Big Marsh Pond and Marsh Pond Mountain in the Dix Mountain Wilderness Area. I've picked away at most of the lesser peaks in the DMWA. They are all spectacular.
I found the best viewpoint was from the southern tip of the double peaked ridge. From there you could see Big Marsh Pond and Little Marsh Pond as well as many distant peaks.
No crowds here. Rev and I didn't see anyone all day (well Rev saw many chipmunks)
