Date hike: July 9
Conditions: Fairly dry trail Very few bugs.
Special hiking gear: I use ski poles, but probably not necessary. Lots of water.
On the Red Spot Trail we were looking for the Doric Temple, which is off trail, but not sure that we found it. Spent some time looking for it.
Birchtoft is a nice trail with some minor ups and downs. I have not been hiking much do to selling a house and moving twice since December, so it was good to get out. I was hiking with my nephew's son, Derek.
