Very nice walking, well packed, though narrow, path from top to bottom. About an inch or two of soft snow on the bottom half, becoming deeper on the upper section. There is a fair amount of hard, slick ice beneath that snow. I used Hillsound Freesteps and trekking poles. Carried snowshoes, but did not need or use them, nor did I see any other hikers using snowshoes. There are a few spots on the upper reaches where the snow is broken and uneven, probably from previous hikers sinking into the snow when it was softer. Very cold and windy at the top, but only a short stretch near the summit and the summit itself are exposed. Saw several hikers sledding or glissading down the trail.
