Hiked from the Cannon Ski area parking via Kinsman Ridge Trail. Further up we realized we had inadvertently followed the Glade trail (this is an un-groomed trail and park of cannon mountain ski area that looks like a regular old hiking trail). This is only evident when we reached the edge of the groomed trails and saw the sign. We finished up the last 1/4 mile by hiking up the side of the ski trials (staying on the very edge and keeping an eye out for skiers).

The lower sections of the KR trail were packed snow with a 6" layer of powder. Further up the KR trail is a mess (loose powder) from snowboarders coming down it (still not too bad). Once on the ski slope it was packed powder (very nice).

Snowshoes would have been useful for about 10 yds total. We used crampons and had no problems.

No sign of the lost treking pole...

Steve.
