What a nice trail! The rushing streams make it a great way to start and finish the day. Just a few blow downs and muddy patches to avoid. My only complaint is that I didn't see a single trail marker all day. You don't need them down low, but there is a spot or two where herd paths diverge off the trail higher up. They could use some markers there.
Lots of black flies, but if you kept moving you could outpace them. Snow patches begin just before you hit the ridge, but nothing too bad. We post holed once or twice, but it was no big deal. The summit tower was pretty packed. Many Canadians for the long weekend. My two sons and I finished the ascent in 2:30. We only stayed a the summit for half an hour. Too many people and black flies. Back to the car by 2:40 and dinner at the Tilt'n Diner!
