Cheap lodging in the Whiteface / Passaconoway area?

Any suggestions? Daughter & I are thinking of doing the loop this week; it would be nice to spend the previous night over there & save ourselves the long drive in the morning. Don't want to spend a fortune. Any thoughts?

We could stay at the OH cabin in Jackson, but if there's something closer we'd be happier.

The Forest Service also has a cabin right on the Kanc which can be reserved through ReserveAmerica.
