Am going up to the Whites this Thursday-Sunday with Totoket and, perhaps, 1 or 2 others. The game plan is to do the Tripyramids, Whiteface and ???

Anyone have any knowledge of the snow/mud conditions of the trails? If there is snow, at what elevation does it kick in? We'll be prepared to snowshoe but would prefer to them behind if there is no white stuff.

If you are on the Kanc, stop by Blackberry Crossing Campground and say Hi.

Sunday, Welch-Dickey had snow in the trees I'd say starting at about 2000 ft. I'd expect multipule feet of snowpack above 3000-3500 feet maybe, getting deeper with elevation. The temp will probably determine if it holds your weight or not.

I'd bring the shoes, the mountains got a lot of snow from this past Nor'easter.
